So, I voted today. I am proud of myself. I have done my duty and become a part of history. All I can do now is wait and hope everyone else does their part as well. I pray that nothing goes wrong like last election because I know I will be immediately disillusioned, towards not only my government, but also towards the whole of humanity. I managed to muster enough faith to convince myself that Bush will be exposed for the terrible president he has been shown to be. I simply cannot see how anyone could look at his record and then vote for him. The environmental issues alone are enough to turn my stomach. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but there is nothing more now I can do. I hope you voted, and even more so hope you voted for Kerry. There were at least 200 people at the polls this morning at 6:30 am so I know this is going to be quite a turnout. The people will have their say and hopefully the government will listen this time. Let's not elect Bush, again.

Huggles.

I had to go with Bush...Kerry was pro-war when he was talking to pro-war people and anti-war when talking to those people.

As they had Kerry say on the SNL Presidential Bash...I'm for the war, but I'm not for how the war is being done. I'm also for us getting the dangerous ruler, Saddam, out of power, but he wasn't a ruler that we had to worry about. 8*)
So, apparently those who voted for Kerry got everything they wanted, even if they wanted TOTALLY different things.

But sadly, I didn't think that the war was the most important issue in the future of our country. The domestic and environmental policies of our president will have far more lasting effects on our country overall. I just wish more people had considered that. Sigh, I am afraid for my future and my children's future.

Sure, we may be bombed, or we may not be... Bush being president or not really doesn't effect that much... but what is definite now, is that Bush is going to allow logging, oil mining, and pollution in as of now last undisturbed portions of our country's wilderness. He's going to allow companies to pollute however much they want to. And there is practically nothing left to stop him now that he doesnt have to worry about reelection. He managed to do so much damage without practically any public outrage in the first four years and I am terrified to see what will happen now. Any idiot could finish the Iraq conflict as well or better then Bush, as he's already fucked it up royally. He has lied to us and refused to admit his mistakes. The outcome of the war under Bush is unknown but the status of what he'll do to the environment is a definite. You obviously are illeducated and ignorant of how important our natural world is to us. I thought better of you Stash. I'm simply disgusted.

You say public safety and environmental issues like they are two different things. Are you so arrogant that you think you do not depend upon this planet? It's health affects our health. It gives us life, supports us, nurtures us. Does it not deserve the same in return? We as a species are flirting dangerously with destruction and if people like you don't take a minute to stop and smell reality then there is no hope. It must be nice just to believe what you want to believe. Ignorance truly must be bliss. Yes Bush now is free to do what he "thinks" is right. That is why I am terrified. I do not trust the judgement of a big money redneck cowboy.
