Post C-Day
Well Christmas has come and gone. It was enjoyable all around. The family managed to get along all day save for a few minor tiffs. There was only mild complaining about the lack of gifts but most of the kids have grown up enough to realize that the parents can't afford huge binges of loot these days. And my hand sewn presents went over very well. The girls loved their oriental brocade bags and seem convinced that they are good enough to market. Turns out my brother's surcoat wouldn't fit over his head (that's what I get for measuring it at 3 in the morning) but 10 minutes of sewing while the pies I made cooled fixed that! Mom and I spent some quality time and even watched a movie together, I am really trying to mend our relationship...
I was supposed to visit a cousin who was visiting from out of town today but my sinus infection has redoubled its efforts to make me miserable so I slept instead. My circadian rythym is so off kilter right now, it is going to be a pain to try to get back on a normal schedule again. I just wish work would call and tell me I have hours again. Aside from being bored and feeling worthless, I need the cash. I didn't get the leather I wanted for Christmas so if I ever want to become a squire I will have to use my own funds to acquire armor making supplies.
Well I am off to enjoy my hopefully soon-to-be limited supply of free time by reading a book that a good friend of mine leant me.
Huggles and I hope your holidays are progressing nicely. Many happy returns of the season in the new year!
