Well, New Year... I'll be 18 soon. That almost a frightening thought. But in some ways it seems long overdue. I've gotten all the credits I need to graduate high school, just have to wait to walk across the stage. I've almost got my down payment on my car, I just need to get my liscence now. Life is progressing.

Josh and I had our first wonderful Christmas together. I spent a lot of time out to dinner with him and his family. I love his family. His Mom and his sister just moved to New Mexico for awhile just in time to miss the Saturday night episode of his Dad cutting his arm open with a miter saw. He's ok though, thank goodness. It's really kind of scary, thinking that our parents aren't invincible... I'm not sure I like getting older.

My Christmas with my family was wonderful beyond words. There was no fighting or crying or bickering or hitting. We didn't have to go to snooty Grandma K's house. We had a lot of fun just being a family. It's the first Christmas when I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed. I'm not talking about gifts for myself of course, because that doesn't really matter to me. I was Santa Claus in training this year. I went shopping with my Mom and helped her pick out everyone's gifts and most of the money was loaned be me. Somewhere around 1500-2000 dollars. Sure, it set back my car payment fund a bit, but still, it was worth it. And I'll have it all saved up again by my Birthday when I'll be old enough to sign for the car myself.

So a new year has started in my life, I'll be back to school in a week. In a way that scares me, but I also am excited. By June I'll be able to say that I've completed a full year in college as I graduate from High School.

Huggles!
