So yesterday I finally saw The Day After Tomorrow. I really enjoyed the movie. I found it scientifically intriguing as well as quite plausible though the timeline was slightly too accelerated for probability. The artistic quality of the film was also breathtaking with amazing graphics. The plot and characters were enveloping and believable. I also really hope that people absorbed the ecological warning posed in said movie. We simply cannot continue to abuse the world this way without expecting dire consequences. With population levels skyrocketing, pollution and deforestation is running rampant. The environment cannot support much more and we are being far too disrespectful for our own good. If human civilzation does not alter its course soon, we will undoubtedly pay for our hubris. We have the capabilities and intelligence to leave in symbiosis with nature, we simply are too narrowminded and pleasure oriented to do so and this will be our downfall.

Sigh. I hope that there will still be a world to save by the time I'm able to do so.
