More Better

So today is turning out to be a slightly better academic experience. Despite having to come to school at 7am even though my first class on Tuesday doesnt start until 1pm (gee why do you think I wanted my laptop... no I have no free time to fill!). I had a lovely 4 hour nap in the student union though my dreams were rather strange.

Then I went and got lunch which was far more enjoyable since they actually gave me what I wanted today as opposed to yesterday. And in the course of eating said delicious chinese food, who would pop in, but Nate! He invited me to come hang out at his hugely awesome party house since he is now divorced. Looks like I may actually be social this semester.

I bought my german book, only 50 buckaroos... My genetics course is offering a digital textbook fior a third of the price. Too cool! Now I just have to figure out how to get my Organic Chem book for less than 200 and I'll be pretty much set. I have yet to find out what my comparative vertebrate morphology text will set me back due to yesterday's prof non-appearance, and I will soon find out how many billion books I have to buy for humanities and my lab classes as I about to leave for them now.

Fun stuff! And damn Katrina... I really wanted to go to practice tomorrow but now it is sure to be raining. *fumes* Perhaps I shall go to the party at Jim's afterall.

Back to College Life

This day is not casting a very pretty color on the rest of the semester. To put it short, my first class starts at 7:30 am, my prof never showed for my second class, my books are adding up to about $500 at least, I have a headache, I'm tired already, and damnit I wish I had my laptop right now.

But, on the bright side, I ran into Shatterhaze today so at least I may have interesting company to hang with between classes.

Sigh I really need to get out and fight, and beg someone for a back rub...

There is hope for society!

I am amused and pleasantly so that after being frustrated that I was getting low ratings on hotornot.com for pictures that I tried to look cute in (terrible I know), I finally gave up and posted this picture...

And my ratings went up! Maybe society does have a sense of humor and acceptance of real people after all.
