Update

Well, after a stressful day of seemingly fruitless apartment hunting, I think I have found a place to live. I met a very nice man who rents out several rooms in a house. It is just outside of DC in Silver Springs, Maryland which is a little farther commute then I wanted, but it will suffice. I will be paying about 450 a month with utilities which is dirt cheap for the area. I can have guests, etc with no questions asked and I am trying to see if Dawn can get her own room there too. Things should be finalized tomorrow (crosses fingers) and then I will officially be moved! Hooray! I cannot convey how excited I am!

Safe and Sound

Well I made it to DC without a hitch. My family and I are checked into a hotel for the night and about to walk down Connecticut Avenue to find somewhere to have dinner. Tomorrow will commence the apartment hunting! Wish me luck. I miss you all already.

Up Up and Away!

Well kiddoes, I am just about to leave for my big adventure. It should be quite an interesting few days as I am desperately insecure about where I am living. But I am sure that I will figure something out! I am excited to get this underway and I have a feeling this will be an epic summer.

My cats are upset, they know something is going on. It just hit me that I won't get to see them for 6 months... This sucks. It's like leaving my children/best friends for the first time. Nights are going to be lonely without Tiger crawling under the blankets and Gergi trying to sleep on my face. Sigh.

I think everything is packed and I am going to take a bath and then start loading the car. Then I will pass out for six hours while my parents whisk me away. I am so grateful of all the support they are giving me. I am doubly lucky to have both a family like them and friends like you! I will miss you guys, but don't worry, I will keep in touch. If I don't have internet in my apartment then I will have to find a coffee shop at which to become a regular. Too bad I don't drink coffee. =)
