Pirates!!!

Yea, I am a geek but proud of it... I was at the midnight showing of Pirates of the Caribean 2 last night in full pirate clothing with at least 15 friends in the same. It was amazing! The movie had great action scenes, good plot, scrumptious pirates, and of course much hilarity. It was highly suspense filled and absolutely nothing was resolved meaning I want the third movie now! Captain Jack was as delicious as always and Will Turner had his deep blue eyes to pull at me but I was disappointed that I simply found Elizabeth annoying for most of the movie and wanted to aboslutely bitchslap her at the end. I was worried ahead of time that the Davy Jones magic would be overdone and out of hand but it blended quite well with the movie. Frankly, I would say it was just as amazingly good as the the first and I want to see it again now!

By the way, Snakes on a Plane? WTF!

Oh speaking of pirates, Brandon came over after practice wednesday and did not leave until just an hour or so ago. It was wonderful to have him all to myself for 2 days! We slept in way late and then went to my favorite chinese restuarant, watched anime, and then of course pirate-mania!!! After a bit of a rough start due to intense proliferation of negative energy wednesday night (sorry everyone I bitched at or ignored, sometimes it all just falls apart), it turned out to be a great few days and I miss him already.

So life is good. Going to Pittsburg this Sunday to fight and then to Florida and Tennessee next weekend for herps and manatees! And then the following weekend is Mid Summer Slaughter. This month is flying already and I hope it is all as wonderful as I feel right now.

I am off to pass out from pirate exhaustion!
Huggles!
Miss you Brandon!
Go see Pirates!
Come to Midsummer Slaughter!
Eat Pickles!
Arrr Matey!
Why is the rum always gone?!

Update Overdue

So it has been three weeks and my room is... almost done. Sigh, it is taking forever! But the walls are green, the ceiling is white, the trim is done, the shelving is up. The windows are very close to being done and the light... works at least while not currently completely affixed to the ceiling. The shelves look amazing by the way and the finishing touch of the dark green carpet today was nice. My closet is slightly less of a war zone and I even secured the computer cabinet for my laptop where I sit typing right now. Oh, I almost forgot... My bed is amazing! It is sooo comfortable and beautiful. The new bed spread and such that I bought look great and I am just so content to lie in it. I cannot wait till tomorrow night when I get to show everything to Brandon. I will post pictures when I get a chance.

Work is going well, though Deanna is leaving us. This breaks my heart because not only is she a great friend but she was currently my best source for training advice. Speaking of which, after a momentary set back, the alligator made amazing progress by eating food thrown to him instead of poked with tweezers. I did a litte happy dance when he did it. Ok, it was a big happy dance, and several times but whatever. The point is it was a huge step!

Tomorrow at practice I am running for Domari. Well, can you call it running when no one opposes you? Anyway, they have to vote on it and I have to give a speech. Is it silly that I am nervous? It doesn't involve any different work then what I did under Edgethrop and I did a pretty good job I think. But anyhow... wish me luck!

I am off to bed to sleep in the ecstacy that is new sheets then tomorrow to throw food at an alligator and beat people until it is speech time after which I will venture to introduce my boy into the house that horrifies me. Can I just blind fold him until we reach my room? Sigh, I guess not.
ummm...
oh yea,

ps I forgot to tell you. I plugged an extension cord into the wall socket today and it started spewing flames! How is that for fourth of july fireworks? But seriously, I thought the house was going to burn down and there is a wicked scorch mark on my book shelf. It scared me more then I can ever remember being scared and my poor family had a hell of a time getting me to calm down enough to tell them what happened and to convince them that my hand was only blackened and not burned. But I am alright and the house is fine so no harm no foul? The amusing part is the only thing I could think for the first 30 seconds of inferno was how weird me screaming sounded... Odd...
