Soooo....

I am home for the weekend. I was terribly looking forward to spending time with lots of friends but now that I am here I am simply worn out. I think I will make this a quiet weekend at home with family. If you read this and want to hang out, call me. Maybe I will make an exception for you.

Anyhow, I would like to make an announcement that I hate cars. Specifically, I hate Dawn's car. Why in the world I ever let her talk me into driving home this weekend when her car had already broken down twice in the past week, I will never know. Worst decision ever. It broke down in PA and we had to have it towed to a mechanic. Needless to say, I am having my parents drive me back on Sunday. I do not intend to depend on that car for any major trips ever again.

But other than that, and some excruciating cramps, life is good. I love my job passionately! I work with some amazing peoples. The more I get to know the National Zoo, the more I love it. Jennifer got it ok'ed for me to help with the veterinary exams on the tamarins on Monday. Yippee!!!

Anyhow, I am off to spend time with my family. I really do miss their company a lot. I am so very lucky to have such amazing people in my life!

Dates in the Upward Direction

Hello again everyone, I have missed you so!

Alas we did not make it to the beach today as I woke to find the temperature had dropped due to the arrival of a rather persistent storm system. And though the rain drops conspired to keep me from my sandy delights, I found that after listening to them for most of the day, I rather enjoy their soft percussion. The day was therefore spent in repose reading with interspersed bouts of cooking and cleaning. And though I did not really exert myself to much more then eating a second piece of cake, I think that I shall sleep quite well this evening.

You might have noticed that I am writing in a bit of a flowery style. I have gotten into one of my moods where words seem as delicious to me as the most succulent sweets. I roll them around in my mind and can feel the veritable salivation of my delight in their sound and meaning. I attribute it in part to a book I am reading where the gentlemen and ladies speak in quite a polished and elegant manor and the author herself employs her narration in a delightful, roundabout way that leads me to believe I am meandering through a conversation with an old friend. I am altogether pleased with its effects.

And on that note, I am off to shower and spend more time acquainting myself with its pages. I will be sure to update you all on work and such tomorrow after I meet with my supervisor as she should be returning from Brazil in the morning.

Good night and Huggles of the most spirited nature!

Internets!

I have the internets now! Hooray! Therefore there will soon be updates but at the moment it is time for sleep. We are going to the beach tomorrow! Oh, and I let Dawn cut my hair! >.< And it turned out really well for all you who gasped in disbelief...

Passing out time!
