A Confluence of Events
It certainly has been an age since I posted, hasn't it? That would be due in part to my busy schedule but also due in larger part to me breaking my laptop. It broke in almost a painfully stupid sort of way through a confluence of events involving my Ipod and a cat. The bottom left corner of the LCD screen is shattered so that I can only see slightly less than the top half of the screen. This makes most applications fairly frustrating to use, hence the not wanting to spend time typing up a blog. On the positive side, at least it is still vaguely functional. On the negative side, had I not been silly and spent so much money on my coming vacation, I could simply buy a replacement laptop... >.<
But what is done is certainly done and I will be damned if I'm not going to enjoy my 6 days and 5 nights in the beautiful Grand Cayman Island. I can picture myself now on Sunday afternoon, stepping out of the airport and blinking in the strong, tropical sun. I pray to the Sun God's that I will not immediately turn into a lobster. Praised be biodegradable sunblock! Not to boast or anything but I intend to spend the whole week in my new Tankini, swimming and lying on the beach with a good book or some of my friend Gill's awesome music. I intend to snorkel and see beautiful coral, fish, sting rays, and sea turtles. Perhaps I will bike around the island and explore. For sure I will hit the town with my cohorts. If you are lucky, I might send you a postcard from Hell. ;) This will be the first non-career related vacation that I have ever gone on. Just real enjoyment and relaxation, and sunshine!
Eeeeeeee!
Anyhow, I will try to motivate myself to post more often once I get back. I really have no excuse, even with a gimp-tastic computer.
Time to head out into the snow... It's easier when you are imagining palm trees. =)
Tropical huggles!
